Job summary

Dynalectric Company San Diego is seeking a Sales Engineer to promote our services to consulting engineers, general contractors, and end users. The role includes leadership within the Industrial Department and involvement in project scheduling, partnerships, and business development.

In this position you will drive technical solution selling, develop automation concepts, and support estimates, proposals, and client interviews to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in applications/sales engineering or similar technical sales.
• Knowledge of industrial automation systems (PLCs, SCADA, DCS) and process control.
• Experience with pharma/biotech manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read P&IDs and instrument datasheets.
• Strong customer-facing communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting expectations throughout proposal, design, and project closeout.
• Develop strategies to achieve departmental growth and secure new business opportunities.
• Collaborate on project schedules, budgets, and financial targets with project teams.
• Allocate engineering resources and balance workload to meet client commitments.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, contractors, and vendors; support design-build teams.
• Assist in preparing project estimates and technical/commercial proposals; participate in client interviews.
