Job summary

UPS in Louisville, KY is seeking an Engineer to direct and coordinate design, fabrication, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical and automation equipment within industrial environments. Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, industrial, or automation engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Entry-level to early career professional engineering experience.
• Experience with industrial equipment, automation, conveying systems, controls, or electrical infrastructure preferred.
• Internship, co-op, or project experience related to automation, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial engineering beneficial.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. and willing to relocate.
• Must be able to work Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and support mechanical, electrical, and automation systems within operational and industrial environments.
• Coordinate the fabrication, installation, startup, operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, controls, motors, conveyors, and automated systems.
• Support electrical system design and maintenance activities, including power distribution, wiring, lighting systems, motors, drives, and control systems.
• Analyze equipment performance and recommend modifications to improve reliability, productivity, efficiency, and safety.
• Assist in the planning and execution of engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and automation initiatives.
• Develop technical specifications, drawings, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
