Job summary

UPS is seeking an entry-level to early-career engineer to design, install, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and automation systems in an industrial environment. You will support equipment upgrades, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives in a 11pm–7am night shift within the Louisville area.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and operational standards, with collaboration across operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience.
Entry-level to early career professional engineering experience required; internship or project work in automation is a plus.
Experience supporting industrial equipment, automation systems, or electrical infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and support electrical, mechanical, and automation systems in industrial settings.
Coordinate fabrication, installation, startup, operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and conveyors.
Assist in electrical system design, power distribution, wiring, lighting, motors, and drives.
Analyze equipment performance and propose improvements for reliability and safety.
Support engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and automation initiatives.
