Job summary

UPS is seeking a qualified engineer to troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust plant floor devices to maintain optimal performance of conveyors and automation systems. The role involves handling internal inquiries, responding to alarms and emergencies, and providing guidance to maintenance mechanics for repairs.

Preferred candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering and have experience in programming, troubleshooting, basic network concepts, motor control theory, and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification (international preferred).
  • Experience in programming, troubleshooting, basic network knowledge, motor control theory, and operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; able to read electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Addresses inquiries and needs from internal customers.
  • Reacts promptly to facility alarms and emergency situations.
  • Identifies and resolves issues as they occur.
  • Conducts routine maintenance to prevent potential problems.
