Job summary

CBRE is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to operate and maintain automated packing and distribution equipment. You will install, repair, and optimize PLC-based control systems, power distribution, and motor drive components in a fast-paced facility.

The role requires experience with conveyors, NEC, blueprints, and strong problem-solving skills. You will coordinate with operations and manage work orders while adhering to CBRE safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls, preventive maintenance procedures, PLC programs, NEC knowledge.
• Experience with blueprints and schematics; electrical and electronic principles.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components (photo eyes, relays, sensors).
• Troubleshoot PLC programs and communications modules (Ethernet).
• Maintain power distribution systems up to 480V and associated wiring.
• Create and close work orders with labor hours, parts, and maintenance details.
• Develop work plans for emergency repairs coordinating with operations and parts/tools.
• Work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines and share knowledge.
• Exchange information clearly and confirm understanding.
