Galco Industrial Electronics in Madison Heights, MI is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and optimize industrial automation equipment at customer sites across Michigan and the Midwest.

You’ll troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, HMIs, and electronics, perform root-cause analysis, and support startups and commissioning. Travel is required to service customers and ensure equipment uptime.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
3+ years of industrial maintenance, field service, automation, or electronics troubleshooting experience.
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, motor controls, industrial networks, and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair industrial automation and control systems at customer facilities.
Diagnose electrical and electronic failures in PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, HMIs, motors, and CNC equipment.
Perform root cause analysis to identify the failure and underlying issues.
Use test equipment to evaluate system performance and reliability.
Support equipment startups, commissioning, and system optimization projects.
Document findings and recommendations clearly for customers.
Travel to customer locations for emergency service, planned maintenance, and troubleshooting.
