Job summary

Connect-Force is seeking a Field Service Engineer – Industrial Automation in Michigan to install, startup, commission, troubleshoot, and hand over automated equipment to customers. You’ll work hands-on with servo drives, PLCs, and control systems across diverse machines and projects.

Ideal candidates bring experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley controls, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and strong customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial machinery or automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with installation, startup, or commissioning of equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Familiarity with Siemens or Allen-Bradley controls ideal.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, startup, commission, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and automated equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
• Support machine run-offs and final equipment acceptance.
• Provide on-site technical support during installation and production startup.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve field issues.
• Document service activities and proposed improvements.
