Job summary

Qualifications

• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen‑Bradley / Siemens / Mitsubishi).
• Drive continuous improvement (cycle time, yield, uptime, OEE).

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Industrial Automation Engineer to design, build, and optimize advanced automated manufacturing systems in a high-volume electronics production environment based in Austin.

This is a hands‑on, cross‑functional role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of controls, mechanical design, and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy automated production systems (PLC, HMI, motion control, robotics)
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen‑Bradley / Siemens / Mitsubishi)
• Develop and maintain HMI/SCADA systems
• Design mechanical fixtures, tooling, and automation equipment using SolidWorks
• Diagnose and resolve complex electromechanical issues on production lines
• Drive continuous improvement (cycle time, yield, uptime, OEE)
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and process engineering teams
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and scale‑up into manufacturing

• 7+ years of industrial automation experience in a manufacturing environment
• Vision System: Cognex / Keyence
• Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms
