Job summary

Job SummaryThis position reports to the shop foreman or his assignee, and requires direct contact with co-workers, subordinates, and peers. The industrial assembler is responsible for product assembly and directly responsible for ensuring the accuracy of finished goods. This job is a multi-skilled position and requires a keen eye for detail and physical dexterity.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe following list provides examples of the most typical duties for this position. These duties may not include all the work that may be assigned.Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings, specifications, and parts lists.Knowledge and experience with the use of hand tools.Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.Perform production duties such as lifting, packaging, taping, sorting, and labeling.Advise management of found defects or safety concerns.Move product and inventory using material handling equipment.Maintain clean and safe working area.Maintains inventory and request supplies and materials needed to accomplish assigned tasks.Execute and document quality inspections.Assists other personnel as may be required to aid them in the completion of their work activities & duties.Other duties as assigned.General knowledge of industrial assembly, processes, and procedures.Additional Responsibilities / ConditionsYou must have a keen eye for detail and a proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally. You will provide assistance to all levels of staff in an accurate and timely fashion. You must have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as accept direction on given assignments.
