• 3+ years in industrial pump sales, apps engineering, or technical consulting.
• Mechanical systems background or engineering principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience leading training or mentoring teams is highly valued.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong math and technical writing abilities.
• Proficient with CRM, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Northwest Pump is seeking an Industrial Applications Engineer to support our Industrial Sales division. This position plays a critical role in technical quoting, training, and applications support for pumps, rotating machinery, and related systems. It’s an exciting opportunity to be part of a knowledgeable, fast-paced, and growing team.

You'll be a great fit if you have a mechanical engineering background and experience in pump systems or industrial equipment. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, educating others, and collaborating with a motivated sales team to deliver top-tier customer solutions.

As an Industrial Applications Engineer, you’ll provide expert support to inside and outside sales, lead training programs for staff and partners, and help customers select the most suitable products from Northwest Pump’s comprehensive offerings.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial pump sales, applications engineering, or technical consulting
• Strong background in mechanical systems or engineering principles
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred
• Previous experience leading training or mentoring teams highly valued
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with strong math and technical writing abilities
• Computer savvy, with proficiency in CRM systems, Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Organized, self-motivated, and reliable, with a proven history of independent work
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
