Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. seeks an Aftermarket Project Sales Engineer to develop, quote, and manage small-project opportunities for customers. You’ll blend engineering problem solving with estimating, pricing, and project management to secure orders and drive projects through completion.

The role requires a strong mechanical/engineering mindset, broad industrial equipment knowledge, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with customers and internal teams. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical background with industrial machinery or automation.
  • Experience estimating, scoping, and pricing projects.
  • Customer-facing role with professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate drawings/specifications to identify solutions and verify field needs.
  • Define scope, parts, subcontractors, labor, and installation requirements.
  • Prepare estimates, pricing, and quotations reflecting cost and margins.
  • Present solutions and quotes, answer questions, and support contract closure.
  • Review orders and documents for scope, risks, and clarifications.
  • Manage projects from opportunity to completion, tracking schedule and budget.
  • Maintain project communications and status updates with customers.
  • Research components, equipment, and services to support solutions.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing/Inventory for materials and lead times.
