Job summary

Milwaukee Succeeds is seeking an experienced sales representative with a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent customer relations skills. The role focuses on advising customers on replacement parts, service solutions, equipment upgrades and preventative maintenance programs.

You will develop long-term relationships, identify aftermarket opportunities, prepare quotations, and coordinate with engineering, service, and operations to ensure accurate delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers.
  • Identify aftermarket sales opportunities through routine contact and reviews.
  • Prepare quotations for parts, service, upgrades, and modernization projects.
  • Coordinate with engineering, service, manufacturing, purchasing, and scheduling to develop accurate quotations.
  • Recommend maintenance programs to improve uptime and reduce downtime.
  • Promote service agreements, contracts, calibration services, and inspection programs.
  • Assist customers in identifying obsolete components and upgrade options.
  • Review historical equipment records to identify upgrade opportunities.
  • Respond promptly to pricing, availability, lead times, and technical questions.
  • Maintain customer records, quotations, opportunities, and sales forecasts in CRM.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotations to improve conversion rates.
  • Support warranty evaluations and issue resolution with engineering and service teams.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced sales representative with a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent customer relation skills.

This role is responsible for advising customers on replacement parts, service solutions, equipment upgrades and preventative maintenance programs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with existing customers.
  • Proactively identify aftermarket sales opportunities through routine customer contact and account reviews.
  • Prepare quotations for replacement parts, assemblies, field service, repairs, rebuilds, retrofits, upgrades, and modernization projects.
  • Coordinate with engineering, service, manufacturing, purchasing, and scheduling departments to develop accurate quotations and delivery commitments.
  • Recommend preventative maintenance programs that improve equipment uptime and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Promote annual service agreements, maintenance contracts, calibration services, and inspection programs.
  • Assist customers in identifying obsolete components and recommend suitable replacement or upgrade solutions.
  • Review historical equipment records to identify recurring maintenance needs and potential upgrade opportunities.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and technical questions.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, quotations, opportunities, and sales forecasts within the company's CRM system.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotations to improve quotation conversion rates.
  • Support warranty evaluations and customer issue resolution in collaboration with engineering and service personnel.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of technical sales, aftermarket sales, inside sales, application engineering, customer service, or industrial equipment experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, automation, induction heating, heat treating, or capital equipment industries preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, and equipment documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using CRM and ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites and industry events.
Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based with regular interaction across engineering, manufacturing, service, purchasing, and sales departments.

Periodic travel to customer facilities may be required to evaluate equipment, develop customer relationships, and identify aftermarket opportunities.
