Job summary

Mindscope in Richfield, WI is seeking a Mechanical Drafter and 2D AutoCAD Designer for our custom industrial systems team. The role focuses on 2D submittal drawings, BOM development, and shop-floor collaboration, with a direct-hire path and a stable 1st shift schedule.

You will work onsite in a modern facility, collaborating with fabricators to turn design concepts into manufacturing-ready schematics, while upholding drafting standards and responding to client inquiries to secure production

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional 2D AutoCAD mechanical design depth in a manufacturing environment.
• Clear understanding of how 2D assembly prints translate into fabrication and assembly.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Technology, Industrial Design, or related discipline.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills for plant supervisors, project leads, and external clients.
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder residing within a 45-minute drive of Richfield, WI.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D mechanical submittal drawings for industrial systems using AutoCAD.
• Build comprehensive Bills of Materials and job packets for shop floor assembly.
• Collaborate with fabricators on the shop floor and update as-built drawings.
• Serve as technical contact during submittal to secure production sign-offs.
• Maintain drafting standards and support peers with drafting questions.
