What you will do:

We are looking for a motivated and well-spoken Independent Sales Representative to join our Sales team. The Independent Sales Representative will be responsible for servicing our current clients, developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. You should be able to close sales and meet targets.

To be successful as an Independent Sales Representative, you must be able to build rapport and achieve customer satisfaction. A top Inside Sales Representative should be very competitive and a good listener.

Responsibilities:
  • Servicing existing accounts by performing staff training seminars, merchandising goods, and coordinating store promotions when needed;
  • Cold calling prospects and existing customers;
  • Following up with new/existing customers, leads, and opportunities;
  • Maintaining knowledge of products & ensuring customers are informed of current and new products;
  • Attending trade shows, educational seminars, and sales meetings, as required;
  • Completing administrative tasks in a timely manner: weekly activity reports and CRM updates;
  • Actively participate in conference calls and sales meetings to improve sales efficiency and success;
  • Aligning with Product Managers to meet Supplier expectations in the territory;
  • Providing excellent customer service and developing strong customer relationships;
  • Collaborating with CSR from the division to provide excellent customer experience;
What we are looking for:
  • Completed college or equivalent dedicated schooling and experience;
  • 5+ years Pro Audio sales experience, ideally in distribution, manufacturing or at the dealer level, or as an Independent Sales Representative;
  • Knowledge of territory and dealers;
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required and must be able to travel regularly between customers located throughout territory;
  • Able to work with all client levels including dealers, end-users, consultants, etc;
  • Self-motivated, self-starter who is well organized and enjoys a challenge;
  • Experience with, and a strong commitment to customer service is essential;
  • Can sell - proven track record;
  • Can handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact;
  • Able to work closely with management to ensure achievement of sales objectives;
  • Strategic thinker - can think out-of-the-box and is able to “think on your feet”;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications;
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills;
  • Demonstrated organizational ability, follow-through and attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision;
Compensation:
  • Independent Sales Representatives are paid commission on net sales to specific customers within an assigned territory.
  • Independent Sales Representatives are independent contractors and not employees of JAM Industries or our Erikson Division.
  • The Independent Sales Representative must be prepared to travel and assume expenses and offer their exclusive services to their employer.
