KPMG LLP is seeking a Tax Intern to join its State & Local Tax practice in Nashville. You will support clients by documenting requirements, analyzing business problems for automated solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tax services.

The role emphasizes building skills in AI, Alteryx and Power BI, along with strong communication and project documentation abilities. Applicants must be enrolled in a related degree program and able to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Business, Accounting, Systems, or equivalent.
• Upon completion of this internship, additional academic credits required before degree completion/CPA eligibility.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Coursework in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data analytics preferred.
• Strong technical awareness and basic knowledge of global indirect tax issues.
• Demonstrated ability to excel and drive outcomes in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; able to travel to commutable locations.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
