Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Tax Intern to join our KPMG Tax practice and support multistate and multinational clients with compliance, planning and data analytics. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, gaining exposure to AI, Alteryx, Power BI, and essential tax processes.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited program pursuing degrees in business, accounting, finance, taxation or related fields, with CPA licensure progress preferred.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited college/university pursuing business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, IT, data & analytics, engineering, or equivalent program
• Pursuing CPA licensure in principal place of business
• Completion of at least one college-level accounting course required at time of application
• Preferred GPA 3.0+ and coursework in info systems, software engineering, CS or data analytics
• Strong communication, time management, leadership, and adaptability to a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Perform tax-related tasks including compliance, advising and planning for a variety of clients
• Participate in data analytics using KPMG technology and prepare tax returns
• Assist in tax due diligence to identify exposures and opportunities
• Support multi-state and multinational clients on state/local tax issues
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and build client relationships
• Develop capabilities in AI, Alteryx, Power BI and MS Office tools
