KPMG LLP is seeking a Tax Intern to join our Tax practice. You will assist with tax compliance, planning and analytics for diverse clients, including multistate and multinational enterprises, while gaining exposure to cutting-edge technology.

As an intern, you will work with a multidisciplinary team, develop data-analytic skills using tools like Power BI and Alteryx, and contribute to client deliverables and knowledge sharing. This role emphasizes collaboration and hands-on learning.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing degrees in business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, IT, data analytics, engineering, or equivalent.
• Pursuing CPA licensure in the principal place of business for this position.
• Completion of at least one college-level accounting course is required at time of application.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above and coursework in data analytics/IT.

Responsibilities

• Perform tax-related tasks including compliance, advising and planning for a variety of clients.
• Participate in data analytics assignments using KPMG technology and prepare tax returns and work papers.
• Assist with multi-state and multinational tax issues, including planning and opportunities.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and maintain client relationships.
• Develop capabilities in AI, Alteryx and Power BI to enhance tax processes.
