Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Tax Seasonal Intern for its Business Tax Services practice in California, starting Winter 2027. The role emphasizes data analytics, client service, and collaboration across teams to deliver tax solutions using AI, Alteryx, and Power BI.

The position requires enrollment in an accredited program with preferred CPA licensure progression, a solid foundation in accounting, and strong communication and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing appropriate business/analytical degrees.
• Pursuing educational requirements for CPA licensure in the principal place of business.
• Completion of at least one accounting course required at time of application.
• Preferred GPA 3.0 or above and coursework in data/analytics or IT.

Responsibilities

• Perform tax-related tasks involving tax compliance for partnerships, corporations and S-corporations.
• Participate in data analytics assignments using KPMG's technology and create tax work papers.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to build client relationships.
• Stay up to date on current tax practices and technologies like AI, Alteryx, and Power BI.
• Support client service delivery and use MS Office tools for documentation.
