Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in the financial industry.
• Minimum of 3 years consumer lending experience.
• Minimum of 2-year lending authority.
• Knowledge of Credit Union loan services and policies.
• Strong understanding of consumer lending policies, procedures, products and laws.
• Professional phone etiquette, appearance and attitude.
• Well organized with attention to detail and time management.
• Excellent communication skills over the phone and in person.
• Strong multi-tasking, teamwork, focus and urgency.
• Self-driven and able to work independently.
• Negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for loan decisioning and communicating loan decisions with dealers, members and team members.
• Receives, analyzes and performs credit investigations for consumer loan requests from auto dealers and makes decisions.
• Review and approve consumer loans within assigned guidelines and authority.
• Build relationships with dealers by creating, cultivating and maintaining these relationships.
• Handles escalated dealer calls and ensures confidentiality of member information.
