Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Community Coordinator for the Native American Program (HUNAP) to assist with student programming, recruitment, and outreach. The role focuses on promoting Indigenous perspectives, planning events, and engaging with students, families, and campus partners.

The incumbent will coordinate communications, develop partnerships, and support program growth while ensuring a welcoming environment that supports student development and success.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of related experience.
• Understanding and deep engagement with issues affecting Indigenous peoples.
• Familiarity with the academic and social dynamics of highly selective universities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute program events with guidance from leadership.
• Execute logistics planning and speaker arrangements for student-centered events.
• Identify community engagement programs based on goals.
• Serve as program liaison with student organizations, campus partners, and university entities.
• Create email communications for faculty, students, alumni, and campus community.
• Develop and implement a social media strategy to inform students of opportunities.
• Respond to inquiries from students and families regarding admissions and resources.
• Undertake recruitment and outreach to Indigenous communities across the University.
• Build relationships with programs and departments, promoting Indigenous perspectives.
• Contribute to program goals by performing related duties as required.
