Job summary

CLOVEHITCH is seeking qualified interpreters fluent in Mayan and Indigenous languages to facilitate communication between minors and care staff across the United States. This temporary, full-time position requires 100% travel and proficiency in English and the target language. Candidates should have prior experience and a valid driver's license. The role includes providing onsite interpretation and ensuring mutual understanding in various care settings, alongside adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications

• Must have ILR 2+ proficiency in English and target languages.
• Experience in foster care or medical care situations is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation at client service sites.
• Relay communication from staff to minors in their preferred language.
• Assist minors in communicating concerns to staff.
• Provide translation services for community resource orientation.
• Aid in building rapport with clients.
