Job summary

Catholic Charities Maine is seeking Independent Support Services Workers to assist seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes, serving clients in Calais. This role emphasizes compassionate, self-directed work with flexible scheduling.

What You'll Do

• Help clients remain independent in their homes
• Provide housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
• Run errands (groceries, pharmacy, appointments)
• Transport clients using your personal vehicle
• Offer companionship and support with daily tasks
• Follow care plans and complete simple online documentation

What We're Looking For

• Compassionate, dependable, and respectful individuals
• Comfortable working independently in clients' homes
• Strong boundaries and respect for confidentiality
• Basic computer skills
• Experience is a plus, but not required – we will train the right person

Pay & Benefits

Starting pay: $17.69/hour

• Flexible, self-directed schedule. You can build a schedule that works for you while meeting strong community demand.
  1. Part-Time 1: Minimum of 12-19 hours/week, 6-9 consumers
  2. Part-Time 2: 20-29 hours/week
