Grocery Outlet is seeking an Independent Operator who will run a local Grocery Outlet store with full responsibility for business operations. You will oversee inventory, compliance, and profitability while building a high-performing team and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will leverage Grocery Outlet’s unique buying model to tailor product selection for your community, engage with local organizations, and manage sales, margins, and expenses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ retail store management or multi-unit restaurant management experience.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for retail and customer service.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and develop a team.
• Business acumen, including financial and operational management experience.
• Willingness to relocate and commit to the full training and onboarding process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store functions, including inventory management, compliance, and financial oversight to ensure profitability and growth.
• Recruit, hire, and train a high-performing team to deliver outstanding customer service and operational excellence.
• Leverage Grocery Outlet’s buying model to order products meeting local community preferences.
• Support local organizations and causes in line with our mission to touch lives for the better.
• Manage financial performance, including sales, margins, expenses, and profitability.
• Create an inviting shopping experience with a clean, organized, and well-stocked store.
• Operate store autonomously while leveraging corporate training and support.
• Understand that earnings are tied to store performance through commissions.
