Grocery Outlet invites seasoned retail leaders to become Independent Operators. This hands-on, entrepreneurial role lets you own and run your Grocery Outlet store with autonomy, while benefiting from our established brand and corporate support.

You will oversee operations, manage a team, control inventory, and drive profitability in your local community. Willingness to relocate and dedication to training are essential for success in this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ retail store management or multi-unit restaurant management experience.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for retail and customer service.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and develop a team.
• Business acumen, including financial and operational management experience.
• Willingness to relocate and commit to the full training and onboarding process.
• A drive for success and the ability to work independently while leveraging the Grocery Outlet network.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, compliance, and financial oversight to ensure profitability and growth.
• Recruit, hire, and train a high-performing team to deliver outstanding customer service and operational excellence.
• Leverage Grocery Outlet’s unique buying model to order products that meet local community preferences.
• Support local organizations and causes aligned with the mission and values.
• Manage financial performance, including sales, margins, expenses, and overall profitability.
• Create an inviting shopping experience by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked store.
• Operate the store with autonomy, while benefiting from corporate training and support.
