Job summary

Grocery Outlet is seeking ambitious individuals to own and operate their own store, taking full responsibility for daily operations, merchandising, staffing, and customer experience.

As an Independent Operator, you’ll drive profitability with autonomy and a clear path to uncapped earnings, while receiving training and corporate support from Marketing, Finance and Operations to help you succeed in your local community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ retail store management or multi-unit restaurant management experience.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for retail and customer service.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Business acumen in financial and operational management.
• Willingness to relocate and undergo full training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, inventory, compliance, and profitability.
• Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team delivering outstanding service.
• Manage buying and merchandising to meet local community preferences.
• Engage with local communities and support charitable initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance including sales, margins, expenses.
• Create a welcoming, clean, and well-stocked shopping environment.
• Operate with autonomy to suit your community and business goals.
• Earn uncapped commissions based on store performance.
• Set your own schedule within full-time commitments.
• Receive training and support from Corporate teams.
