Job summary

The Periscope Group is seeking Independent Consultants (Occupational or Physical Therapists) to conduct one-time in-home medical necessity assessments across various locations. Train to become a wearable device trainer, educate patients on device usage, and complete timely documentation in collaboration with the review team.

Qualified PTs/OTs with licensure, ability to travel to member homes, and strong communication skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical or Occupational Therapist (No PTAs or COTAs)
• Malpractice/Liability Insurance (may be purchased at the time of job offer)
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, navigate stairs and varied home environments, and perform physical assessments as needed
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to and from member homes
• Proficient with technology: navigate online portals, upload documents, and use your preferred device for all work tasks
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Participate in training to become a certified wearable device trainer
• Perform one-time medical device training to patients with peripheral neuropathy
• Provide education on use of the device
• Complete documentation in a timely manner with collaboration with the review team as needed
