Job summary

The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) seeks experienced Health Tech (Opticians) to support operations in VCS Optical Shops at the Aurora, CO VA Medical Center. The role coordinates optical operations and serves as a liaison between VCS, eye clinic providers and prosthetics teams to enhance veteran care.

Minimum of one year of experience as an Optician is required, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain high standards of patient service.

Qualifications

• Ability to identify prescription discrepancies or anomalies and take corrective action.
• Skilled in identifying and resolving optical issues, including prescription verification and frame alignment.
• Familiarity with optical equipment and procedures.
