Qualifications

• Two years nursing experience in area of specialty practice
• NY State RN license in current registration
• State Certification as NP with current registration (as applicable)
• National Board Certification in Advanced Practice Nursing required for hire

Responsibilities

• Assesses health status by history and physical examination
• Initiates and orders selected procedures and labs; prescribes medications
• Educates on health promotion, disease prevention and management of illnesses
• Documents findings and plan of care in medical records
• Consults with physician per protocols
• Maintains confidentiality and ensures FPPE/OPPE requirements
• Develops care plan based on diagnoses and patient needs
• Participates in team meetings and interdisciplinary committees
