Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or NP preparation (or completion of approved post‑Masters NP certificate).
• Registered Nurse Practitioner with collaborative practice agreement.
• Ability to develop and implement practice agreements and protocols.
• Prescribe medications according to NYS laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and acute health care under the collaborative practice agreement.
• Assess health status via history and physical examination.
• Prescribe and adjust medications per protocols.
• Document findings and plans in the medical record.
• Consult with physician and refer to subspecialties as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop and manage clinical specialty programs across the hospital.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
