Job summary

Required credentials include NY RN licensure and NP certification, with strong emphasis on NICU competencies, certifications, and collaborative practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status via history and physical examinations.
• Initiate and order selected procedures; prescribe regimens and adjust care per standards.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Document findings and plans in medical records.
• Consult with physicians per standards and protocols.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide care based on patient age.
• Initiate referrals to specialty services and promote continuity of care.
• Participate in team meetings to support interdisciplinary care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Develop care plans based on diagnoses and patient needs.
• Conduct periodic chart reviews with collaborating physicians.
• Complete FPPE/OPPE as required for credentialing.
• Practice as an allied health staff member per bylaws.
