Job summary

Underwriter Services Association Inc. seeks experienced Commercial & Personal Lines Insurance Consultants to conduct loss control inspections as approved vendors. Inspections cover interior/exterior surveys, with reports produced and uploaded via a cloud-based system.

This contract-based work pays per inspection with fees set in advance, and weekly payments on order completion. Vendors must provide their own equipment, reliable transportation, and be available for calls.

Qualifications

• One year minimum experience completing interior/exterior residential loss control surveys and reports.
• 3–5 years experience in Commercial Loss Control assignments preferred.
• Own a reliable vehicle and ability to cover a wide territory as needed.
• Have a computer with Windows 10 and high‑speed internet access.
• Must have a digital camera and measuring tools (including a measuring wheel).
• Ability to be detail oriented, well organized, and flexible with schedule.
• Background check may include criminal records and drug screen; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with insured/agent via email and/or phone calls.
• Complete physical inspections of properties as required by the carrier.
• Take clear digital photos of properties.
• Identify and document hazards/controls found at the property.
• Complete on-site management interviews regarding the property, as required.
• Upload report/photos through a cloud-based system by the specified deadline.
• Become familiar with client guidelines and communicate with Preferred Reports and insureds.
• Provide high quality and professional services.
