Job summary

Underwriter Services Association is seeking an experienced Commercial Loss Control Consultant to perform insurance inspections and consultative visits. This independent contractor role involves assessing properties, documenting conditions, and producing detailed reports.

Successful candidates should have strong communication skills, at least three years of relevant experience or certifications, and their own equipment. They will be compensated on a flat rate or hourly basis, with weekly payments following report submissions.

Qualifications

• Bilingual candidates are a plus.
• Must have a reliable car with the ability to cover a wide territory.
• Experience in commercial auto, workers compensation, and inland marine lines of coverage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with insured or agent.
• Complete physical inspections of properties within an assigned territory.
• Upload reports and photos through a cloud-based system.

Skills

Experience completing property and casualty lines insurance loss control surveys and reports

Thorough understanding of general liability and property lines of coverage

Basic computer operating, typing, and internet skills

Strong communication skills

Detail oriented and well organized

Education

At least three years of relevant experience or certifications such as CSP or ARM
