Job summary

Regional Reporting, Inc. is seeking an Insurance Loss Control Consultant to perform commercial inspections and complete underwriting reports. You will drive to locations, observe facilities, document operations and hazards, and compile findings into an online report for underwriting purposes.

Responsibilities include taking measurements, photos, and preparing diagrams, with work assigned daily or weekly by location. Remote work capability is accommodated where feasible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with loss control providers or major carriers.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance lines: Property, General Liability and Inland Marine.
• Ability to identify building construction and ISO classes.
• Broad understanding of NFPA codes.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Comfortable working from home with a PC and high-speed internet.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to climb a ladder up to 6 feet.
• Proficient with a digital camera or smartphone for photo evidence.
• Measuring wheel or similar tool, and camera pole.

Responsibilities

• Recording onsite observations, taking measurements and photos per carrier requirements.
• Identifying building and roof construction type, square footage, potential hazards.
• Timely completion of assignments/reports according to due dates.
• Communicating regularly with Field Manager to complete inspections cost-effectively and efficiently.
• Coordinating the time and date of the inspection meeting the insured representative onsite.
• Preparing and reporting inspection results, uploading photos and preparing diagrams on an ongoing basis.
• Drive to and from insured locations, some overnight travel may be required.
