West-Side-Federation-For-Senior-and-Supportive-Housing- is seeking a PCA-Program Aide to provide supervised support to residents at West 108th Street, New York, NY. The role focuses on helping residents develop self-management of daily living activities under supervision.

The position involves training residents in daily living tasks, escorting to appointments, assisting with room-clean-outs and bed-bug prep, shopping for supplies, leading groups, and documenting services.

Formación

• Experience working with special needs populations.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Capable of performing duties in accordance with DSS regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Train and coach residents in activities of daily living and independent life skills.
• Escort residents to medical and entitlement appointments.
• Assist with room-clean-outs and bed-bug prep and related tasks.
• Shop for program supplies.
• Run resident groups and activities.
• Assist residents with in-house programs and events.
• Make visits to residents in hospitals, nursing homes or other facilities as directed.
• Work as a member of the team to maintain high level of care and respect for the residents.
• Complete documentation of services provided.
• Communicate with tenants and other staff.
• Attend training sessions to enhance job skills.
• Implement emergency procedures as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
