Apis Services, Inc. is seeking a Community Recovery Specialist to support residents in a 10-bed long-term psychiatric unit in Quakertown, PA.

The role focuses on independent living skills and daily functioning, including employment planning and social skills development. Responsibilities include assisting with medical appointments, documenting group/outing activities, and adhering to trauma-informed, psychiatric rehabilitation principles within the unit's phase system.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Criminal record clearances, as dictated by the assigned programs.
• Minimum of three years’ experience working directly with individuals diagnosed with mental health or IDD.

Mansioni

• Assist residents in skill building for independent living, including employment, education, money management, medication management, transportation, meal prep, shopping, housing searches, and social skills development.
• Assisting residents with appointments and transporting them to medical appointments.
• Focus on Psychiatric Rehabilitation principles while implementing the phase system, service planning, skill building, goal planning and community integration.
• Completion of documentation for groups and individual outings.
• Attend weekly team meetings and supervision with site lead, plus monthly all-staff meetings.
• Ensure compliance with programmatic and corporate procedures and protocols.
• Conduct oneself professionally, fairly, and with compassion at all times.

Formazione

High School Diploma required
