Job summary

Apis Services, Inc. is seeking a Community Recovery Specialist to provide daily support for residents in a structured psychiatric unit in Walnutport, PA. The role focuses on independent living skills, transportation to appointments, and adherence to rehabilitation principles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience working directly with individuals diagnosed with mental health or IDD.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma required
• Current and valid driver’s license
• Criminal record clearances, as dictated by the assigned programs

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for residents in a 10-bed long-term structured psychiatric unit.
• Assist residents with skill-building for independent living (employment, education, money management, etc.).
• Assist residents with appointments and transportation to medical visits.
• Follow Psychiatric Rehabilitation principles and participate in planning and community integration.
• Complete documentation for groups and individual outings; attend team and all-staff meetings; comply with procedures.
