Job summary

Trinity Services, Inc. is seeking an Independent Living Coach in Peoria, IL to support adults with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness in home and community settings. The role focuses on helping individuals learn new skills, set personal goals, and increase independence with coaching and guidance.

The position offers an hourly wage of $21.30–$22.00 with shifts 7 am-3 pm, 2 pm-10 pm, or 11 pm-9 am. Training is provided and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Requires valid driver’s license with minimal violations on MVR.
• Must pass STOFLA reading literacy assessment before start.
• Must maintain CPR, First Aid, Safety Care certifications and Medication Administration Authorization.

Responsibilities

• Engage with individuals to foster meaningful relationships and respect their dignity.
• Support daily routines and plan meaningful activities aligned to person-centered plans.
• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, shopping, and community programs.
• Document activities, services, and medications as trained and required.
• Collaborate with the support team to set attainable goals and communicate changes.
• Assist with meal preparation and household tasks as needed.
• Participate in trainings and comply with agency policies.
