Job summary

Renovo Solutions is seeking a Life Science Engineer II to perform hands-on service on laboratory instrumentation at assigned client sites. You will calibrate, maintain, diagnose and repair instruments, often independently, and review vendor and OEM work for quality and cost efficiency.

You will operate without daily supervision, coordinate with laboratory staff, and help expand Renovo's self-perform capabilities across multiple instrument families.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on service on laboratory or analytical instrumentation.
• Ability to diagnose faults beyond the manufacturer service manual.
• Experience working without daily technical supervision.
• Experience in a client facility as an embedded service provider preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, scheduled maintenance, demand maintenance, diagnostics and repair.
• Diagnose faults independently, including non-manufacturer faults.
• Verify instrument performance and return-to-service decisions.
• Support installation, relocation, qualification and decommissioning.
• Coordinate satellite locations and remote technical support.
• Review vendor and OEM work and flag disproportionate quotes.
