Job summary

RENOVO Solutions is seeking a Life Science Engineer II to perform hands-on service on laboratory instrumentation at assigned client sites. You will calibrate, maintain, diagnose and repair instruments, and determine return-to-service decisions with limited supervision.

The role involves self-direction at sites, expansion into self-perform capabilities, and collaboration with site staff and hub engineers. Travel to satellite locations is possible, with strong focus on GxP and data integrity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on service on laboratory or analytical instrumentation.
• Qualification on more than one instrument family.
• Ability to diagnose faults beyond manufacturer manuals.
• Experience reviewing vendor diagnoses or quotes on technical grounds.
• Experience working without daily technical supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, scheduled maintenance, demand maintenance, diagnostics and repair at the client site.
• Diagnose faults independently, including non-manufacturer faults.
• Verify instrument performance against specs before returning to service.
• Support instrument installation, relocation, qualification and decommissioning.
• Coordinate with laboratory staff and satellite locations for access and availability.
• Review vendor and OEM work, flag scope or cost issues, verify completion to spec.
