Upchurch Inspection is expanding into the Tri‑Cities region of East Tennessee—serving Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, and surrounding communities—and we’re looking for a dependable, detail‑oriented Home Inspector to provide coverage in the Tri‑Cities area. Opportunity Overview

As a Home Inspector working with Upchurch Inspection, you’ll conduct comprehensive home inspections, clearly document your findings, and communicate results to clients in a friendly and professional way. We value inspectors who are reliable, integrity‑driven, and committed to ongoing learning.

Key Responsibilities

Perform residential home inspections according to Tennessee standards of practice and company policies
Inspect major home systems including structure, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interiors, and exteriors
Create clear, detailed digital inspection reports using modern inspection software
Communicate findings to clients in an approachable, educational manner
Maintain professionalism and uphold Upchurch Inspection’s reputation for quality and honesty
Keep up with building practices, safety protocols, and continuing education requirements
Represent the company professionally during client interactions and local real‑estate events

Required Qualifications

Valid Tennessee Home Inspector License
InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) credential
Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Physically able to access crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and tight or elevated areas

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in home inspections, construction, HVAC, roofing, electrical, or real estate
Familiarity with inspection software and mobile reporting tools
Customer service or client‑facing communication experience
