Upchurch Inspection is expanding into East Tennessee, and we’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Home Inspector to provide coverage in the Knoxville-area. We conduct thorough, honest, and easy-to-understand residential inspections across Knoxville, Maryville, Oak Ridge, and nearby communities.

If you are accurate, professional, and passionate about helping clients make confident decisions, this is a strong opportunity. You’ll inspect homes and report findings clearly.

Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee Home Inspector License required.
• InterNACHI CPI credential required.
• Ability to work independently with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential home inspections according to InterNACHI standards and Tennessee guidelines.
• Inspect major systems including structure, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interiors, and exteriors.
• Prepare clear, detailed digital inspection reports using modern inspection software.
• Communicate findings to clients in an approachable and educational manner.
• Maintain professionalism and Upchurch Inspection’s reputation for honesty and quality.
• Stay current with building practices, safety protocols, and continuing education.
• Represent the company professionally during client appointments and real estate events.

Opportunity Overview

As a Home Inspector working with Upchurch Inspection, you’ll conduct comprehensive residential inspections, clearly document your findings, and communicate results to clients in a friendly, professional manner. Key Responsibilities

• Perform residential home inspections according to InterNACHI standards of practice and Tennessee state guidelines
• Inspect major home systems including structure, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interiors, and exteriors
• Prepare clear, detailed digital inspection reports using modern inspection software
• Communicate findings to clients in an approachable and educational manner

• Represent the company professionally during client appointments and real estate events

Required Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee Home Inspector License
• InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) credential
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• Physically capable of accessing attics, crawlspaces, roofs, and other tight or elevated areas

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in home inspections, construction, trades, or real estate
• Familiarity with inspection software and digital reporting tools
• Strong customer service or client-facing communication experience
