Job summary

Iron Ridge Transportation LLC is seeking experienced Freight Broker Agents to join as independent 1099 contractors. You will build and manage your own book of business with the support and infrastructure of a growing brokerage behind you.

Opportunities include developing relationships with shippers, sourcing freight, negotiating rates, and coordinating shipments from pickup to delivery. A flexible work environment and autonomy are offered, with access to experienced broker support.

Qualifications

• Previous freight brokerage or freight agent experience preferred.
• Existing customer relationships and a book of business are a plus.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers, manufacturers, and other freight customers
• Prospect and identify new shipping opportunities
• Source and secure freight opportunities
• Negotiate rates with customers and carriers
• Coordinate shipments from pickup through delivery
• Build and grow your own book of business
• Manage customer relationships and provide ongoing communication
• Identify quality prospects and develop long-term customer relationships
• Work independently while collaborating with the Iron Ridge Transportation team
• Maintain accurate communication and follow-through throughout the shipping process
