Job summary

Performance Food Group in Longview, TX is seeking an aggressive outside sales professional to manage independent restaurant accounts and drive new business growth. You will own end-to-end relationships, expanding your own book of business and contributing to profitability through strategic sales and account penetration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6-12 months sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Generates additional business through analyzing sales territory and individual customers; samples products with existing and potential customers; plans general sales strategy including time and territory management; plans sales approach with individual customers; and conducts effective sales presentations.
• Grows sales and profit margins on an ongoing basis to meet established sales and margin goals.
• Sets up new customer accounts by determining pricing; works with Credit Department for initial authorization; other center personnel for scheduling order-taking, deliveries, etc.
• Performs initial follow-up work with customer ensuring delivery and product satisfaction.
• Builds additional business with current customers through product penetration in order to maximize profitability of individual accounts.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Sales/Marketing, or related area
