Job summary

H&S Loss Control Inspections, Inc. seeks qualified field inspectors for insurance loss control in the United States. Immediate placement available for independent contractors to perform commercial line inspections.

Inspectors review assignments electronically, schedule with insureds, conduct property inspections, document findings with photos and measurements, and file reports online through Loss Control 360. Prior training such as VIITA Basic Commercial Line Inspector is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience completing commercial line inspections
• Training such as VIITA Basic Commercial Line Inspector or equivalent
• 3-5 years in commercial insurance loss control inspections
• Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and communicate well verbally and in writing
• Comfortable completing reports online and uploading documents

Responsibilities

• Receives assignments electronically and reviews for inspection requirements.
• Schedules the inspection appointment with the Insured by phone, email, or text.
• Inspects the property for potential issues or hazards pertaining to utilities/building systems, common areas, maintenance, protections, and life safety; takes 20-35 exterior/interior photos; takes measurements.
• Interviews the Insured for operations information, ages of building systems, etc.
• Communicates inspection status through online application.
• Completes the inspection report on the Loss Control 360 system with Rapid Sketch and returns the completed report electronically.
