Job summary
The Thrasher Group seeks a Senior Construction Manager to support a large-scale infrastructure project in Mason County, WV. This senior field position serves as Thrasher's on-site representative, reporting to the lead Construction Manager with duties including nights and weekends as operations move to 24-7.
Ideal candidate has extensive heavy civil and utility construction experience, reads plans well, and can operate independently on a large site while advancing project goals and protecting
Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years in heavy civil and/or utility construction.
- Strong ability to read plans and specifications and ensure work tracks.
- Experience as senior on-site representative or owner’s technical/quality lead.
Responsibilities
- Serve as senior on-site representative of Thrasher’s role as owner’s technical and quality representative.
- Monitor and document earthwork, utility and site development activities for conformance with plans/specs.
- Act as primary contact for owner and general contractor when the lead CM is unavailable.
- Review and manage daily field reports, track production and earthwork volumes, document SWPPP and quality compliance.
- Identify and elevate nonconformance, discrepancies, and schedule risks early.
