Job summary

Southern Health Partners is launching a new correctional healthcare program at Worth County Jail in Georgia. The Medical Director / Physician Extender will provide clinical oversight for the SHP healthcare team as the program is built from the ground up, with a focus on quality and compliant care.

This independent contractor role requires up to 2 hours per week and offers flexibility to fit with other professional commitments while delivering meaningful care to an underserved population.

Qualifications

• Georgia licensed MD/NP/PA with current DEA and CPR certifications.
• Clinical experience in correctional or secure healthcare settings.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills; ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and consultation for SHP team at Worth County Jail.
• Review patient cases and guide treatment plans.
