Job summary

Southern Health Partners is launching a new correctional healthcare program at Worth County Jail. We seek a Medical Director/Physician Extender to provide clinical oversight with a flexible, low-hour commitment. This independent contractor role offers meaningful work serving an underserved population.

Ideal candidates are MDs, NPs, or PAs licensed in Georgia who can guide the on-site team, maintain high clinical standards, and help establish efficient processes during the launch.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active MD/NP/PA license in Georgia.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
• DEA registration and CPR certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight for SHP healthcare team at Worth County Jail.
• Collaborate with onsite team regarding patient care and decisions.
• Review cases and assist with clinical decision-making and continuity of care.
• Develop and implement clinical protocols and processes for the new site.
