Job summary

DABS, Inc. in Glendale, CA, is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily living and community activities. You’ll help with meals, chores, personal care, and skill-building, providing compassionate, person-centered support.

Qualifications

• Caring heart and commitment to helping others live with dignity and independence.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance.
• Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check.
• CPR Certification and a recent TB test (we can help you obtain both if needed).
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with everyday activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and personal hygiene routines.
• Take individuals on community outings—whether for appointments, errands, or just to enjoy the day.
• Track and document changes in overall health and behavior to support their care.
• Assist with medication reminders or administration when needed.
• Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
