Job summary

DABS, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living activities and skill-building.

You will provide compassionate support in a respectful, dignified environment, helping with meals, personal care, and community integration. You will work as part of a dedicated team, document changes in health and behavior, assist with medications when needed, and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Need caring, compassionate approach to support independence.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle and auto insurance.
• Willingness to undergo state and federal fingerprint background checks.
• CPR certification and a recent TB test are preferred or provided.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities such as meals, light housekeeping, errands and personal hygiene.
• Take individuals on community outings and promote social engagement.
• Track and document changes in health and behavior to inform care.
• Assist with medication reminders or administration when needed.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
