Job summary

FREE is seeking a Creative Arts Manager to develop inclusive theater and performing arts programming for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). You will coordinate productions, guide participants from auditions to performances, and collaborate with staff, families, volunteers, vendors, and community partners to deliver engaging, accessible experiences.

This exempt, full-time role requires a relevant degree and experience in adaptive theater; you will oversee

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with experience in inclusive/adaptive theater.
• Experience directing large-scale or community theater projects.
• Experience with improvisation, music, dance, or performing arts disciplines.
• Some experience with OPWDD-funded or certified programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops inclusive theater curriculum and activities aligned with goals.
• Directs productions from auditions to performances and showcases.
• Coordinate schedules, venues, and vendor services for events.
• Adapt activities to accommodate communication, sensory, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with staff, families, volunteers, and community partners.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance for programs.
